Event Styling

Every year, the City of Melbourne honours more than 400 Tourism Volunteers, who work tirelessly to keep our little metropolis humming along.

In 2019, they marked 30 years of service. So of course, we jumped at the chance to give back to Melbourne, and make it an unforgettable end-of-year event — 1930’s style.

We swung into art deco aesthetic for the event styling, creating a luxe design language that lived on invites, environmental signage, motion graphics and screen content.

With swing dancing flash-mobs, a big band jazzing up some modern hits, a consummate MC and a keynote address from Lord Mayor Sally Capp, the event was a riot. And all the while, the spotlight was firmly on the stars of the show—the Volunteers themselves—as we celebrated an incredible milestone with a night for the (golden) ages

We even gave guests their own starring moment on the silver screen with a 1930s-era photo booth.

This experience was created with the incredible team at Neonormal
